Yoga can be dangerous, but a lot of people do not know about it!

Does it surprise you when a patient turns to Yoga rather than a doctor? Do you know that it is happening right now? It can be good and bad depending on how much they know about Yoga There is no doubt that everybody is doing Yoga these days, and in some places, there even run some Yoga for pets. That sounds a nit ridiculous to me but anything can happens...

This does not surprise me as Yoga does give lots of health benefits. It is said that in order to live a healthy lifestyle, Yoga is the way.

In order to reap all the above mentioned benefits, you got to know the dangers that Yoga can cause in addition to its benefits.

When you practise Yoga, please do make sure you do it the correct way. Correct way of practising Yoga energises you and makes you look fresh. The wrong way could cause your blood pressure to rise

Why there are some Yogis out there believing that Yoga is an extreme sport? It is actually not. A lot of Yoga teachers are going to tell you that it is perfectly alright to feel pains because you are lack of practise? As a matter of fact a real Yogis practitioner, will tell you that there is no such thing as “no pain no gain”. The true essence of Yoga is about reunion with God. That is the realmeaning of Yoga whether you know it or not.

Everything is about be natural! If you feel painful, your body is telling you to stop. Try not rush into things as you could just pick up warm-up exercises..The whole point of doing Yoga is to be healthy, thus, it is silly to hurt yourself becuase of Yoga.

It is even more risky to you if you suffer from illness like insomnia, neck ache, or during your menstruating period. While you are having babies, be careful when you try to do full boat Yoga pose. This Yoga position requires you to balance on the tripod of your sitting bones and tailbone.

If you suffer from the neck injury, try to stay away from bridge pose for now. Bridge pose although calms the brains and rejuvenates tired legs, it requires you to lie on the back of your head on the mat with your chest bending upwards and hence giving a lot of strains on your neck!

When you have the knee injury, be take careful precautions while doing head-to-knee forward bend because you are required to bend your knees while bending forward with your head touching on of your ankles...

Remember alright, if you feel pain at your knees, it is time to stop immediately and speak to your teacher.

Please stay away from downward-facing-dog Yoga pose, when you are in the late stages of pregnancy. Use cautions practising this pose when you suffer from high blood pressure! You are required to come onto the floor on your hands and knees while setting your knees directly underneath your hips and your hands slightly forward of your shoulders. Moreover you need to Spread your palms, index fingers parallel or slightly turned out, and turn your toes under.

Just stop doing Yoga for the moment if you are advised to stop.

I would advise my students who suffer from high-blood pressure to seek advice from their medical doctors before doing Yoga. If you raise your arms above your head it actually makes you feel dizzy!

There are many other pitfalls that I can keep telling you, but the point is Yoga can be fatal There is no doubt about it! As we walk the tightrope between modern life and our animal instincts, we human race are desperate to find balance in our daily lives, and also in our bodies, our minds and our environment.

I bet you had experienced working up in the middle of the night? It proves that your brain is constantly thinking, at subconscious level! Just as what we established, a yoga practice is an excellent way to soothe nerves that are in a constant state of overdrive.

Yoga helps balance out our chronic stress, and thus one must do it!

Yoga reduces your stress only if you appreciate both the dangerous and beneficial sides of Yoga!
