Some new Mothers place great value in the poetic sounds that are emitted in the delivery room. The sound of their child's first cry is just as moving as the words of love spoken between a husband and wife on their wedding night. The poetry of parenthood begins with the birth of that child and is continued with ballads from every occurrence in their life that has the ability to touch their hearts.

Some of the poetry that is written for a newborn babe will be created while the Mother is holding the baby in their arms. These poems are generally called lullabies and many parents have found that they can be very creative when they are applying words to melodies that they know their children have never heard before.

Since these streams of poetic thoughts occur typically in the early hours of a new day, it is safe to assume that they will never have no real rhyme or reason behind them but they will instill a sense of love and security on a baby who is awake and ready to suckle for an hour. These moments of bonding can be reflected later in more serene and inspirational poetry that can be placed in a baby book.

These memorable poetry verses are meant to soothe the child and provide them with reassuring words that are only understood by the tone that is applied to each one. Years later, the child will find further value to the words that were placed on paper in their baby book, but while they are babes they will only be interested in the sounds.

The playful verses of poetry surface when parents are giving their babes a bath. The sounds of the words are accompanied with the splashes of water and the warm temperatures of the water that they are in. The warmth of the waters is just as soothing as the tones, and the smiles emitted by the parent make the whole bath experience a joy. The parents always know when they are getting their message of love through because the babe will normally smile and squeal several times in glee.

Some verses of poetry are written in childlike handiwork and are stitched and hung on the walls in a nursery. These memorable verses will serve to inspire and guide the parents on which route is the right road to take to raise a happy and healthy child. These inspirational poetry verses will usually adorn the nursery walls through the first year of the life of their child and the poetry is more inspirational than instructional when these children begin to raise their own families later in life.
