There are internet rumors circulating (and we are all quite aware how reliable that rumors usually are) that a European car company is going to release a new vehicle that runs on compressed air. It has a limited distance it can travel without getting loaded up again with compressed air but it would certainly be fun and cheap to drive around town.
The primary failing of this new invention is that they haven’t figured out a way to convert your current car engine to run on air. .
We will see how these air cars perform out on the street
The electric hybrid seemed like such a cool idea until we recently found out that owners are required to replace their battery every 5 or 7 years or so and the battery itself costs more than what this compressed air car is supposed to cost consumers!
Now even as I write this article I am made aware of an even newer innovation
Apparently there is a newer idea... someone is manufacturing a car that runs on nothing! I kid you not... no ethanol, no water, no gasoline for sure, no compressed air... nothing...
OK, before you begin the Fred Flintsone jokes, let me tell you I am not recommending it. I am just using it as a reference to show you that there are individuals who are prone to do nutty things just as the Wright Brothers did in their first attempts at creating an airplane, trying to figure out a solution so as to emancipate us all from the criminal elements that run the oil and automotive corporations.
It is great that people are continuing to innovate but in such an environment it is wise to keep one’s feet on the ground and consult practicality which is why I support what is already getting the job done.
