Kansas City is the third largest city in the US state of Kansas. Situated at the junction of the Missouri and Kansas rivers the city is opposite Kansas City, Missouri and is included in the bi state Kansas City Metropolitan Area, of which it is a satellite city of the anchor city.

As of the 2000 census the city population was 146,867.

It is brimming with activities to keep your family entertained. Discover the world class hotels, professional sports, casinos, museums, theatres and great places to eat and shop.The attractions come alive during the fall with many festive events and activities.

It is a diverse town with divergent interests and a wide variety of clubs and organizations to answer any need you may have.

Whether its blues, hip hop, jazz, reggae or new world music, you can enjoy it. Visitors can enjoy the cities vibrant nightlife in its clubs and night spots. The Renaissance Festival runs for seven glorious weekends each autumn. Its held near by at Bonner Springs. Visitors can travel back to a time when knights clad in shining armour battled for a ladies honour and jesters, minstrels and rogues entertained all comers in the hope of a days wages.

Dont miss the Wyandotte County fair held at The Woodlands from July 31 through August 4. Enjoy family fun, entertainment, petting zoo, fair food and carnival rides.

Known as the Heart of America, this ever expanding Midwestern city remains one of welcoming hospitality and exciting tourist attractions. Kansas City, Missouri played a major role in westward expansion and its colourful past is preserved in its many museums and historic sites of interest.

The National Frontier Trails Centre, where you can learn all about the history of this city. At one point in the history of Missouri, Kansas City was the starting point for pioneers and wagon trains preparing to head west. Commemorative memorials can still be viewed today.

The Negro Leagues Baseball Museum and the American Jazz Museum are both found in Kansas City and are major Kansas City tourist attractions. Although the museums tell very different stories, they are both found in the same large building. A tour of the Jazz Museum ends with a video showing the surrounding neighbourhood in the 1930s, when there were more than 60 jazz clubs lining the streets.
