All these companies, whether they are online businesses or ordinary walk in companies want to rank their websites first on search engine like Google, Mixcat or Yahoo. What many of them don’t know is how to do SEO, or search engine optimisation. SEO allows you to rank high on search engines like the ones mentioned above, and the higher pagerank you have the better you business is marketed. You will also have a better pagerank if you do online marketing like banner advertising.

You could also up your page rank if you use Google ads as your advertiser, this way you will be right on the top of the page, whether it is the first page or the second page of the search engine. When it comes to advertising on the internet the page rank number you get your page to rank is very important. It is a known fact that not many people go to the second page of any search engine, whether it is Google or Yahoo. So ranking on the first page is most important for your business. You could also do text link advertising, this is done by entering the link to your web page on the end of your email page as a signature. This way all the people you send emails to during the day will click on your text link and visit your site.

There is also link exchange that you could do for advertising. Link exchange is a very new thing in the online advertising business, you will have to find website that offer link exchange. This is where you will register to be a member and exchange link with other members, then you will have to create a sort of banner ad for other members and they will do the same for your website. Another good way to generate traffic for your webpage or website is by doing backlink building. Backlink is a way of getting people to host a link of your website on their website. This is not an easy thing to get or do, as you will have a high rank in Google or Yahoo for anybody to even think about hosting a backlink for you. Another name for this in inbound links, which explains the whole process, it works just like link exchange, only you do not need any type of banner advertising for it, it is as simple as just a link on your website.

Another way to get a good page rank other than link exchange, text link, or back link is to do link building. You do link building by posting blogs on numerous websites like My Space, Facebook and such. You will post blogs about things that have nothing to do with your site. That is really the trick to it, the blog must not say anything about what is on your site, and must be really opinionated. So it should be as if someone wrote it and thought about your site, and in turn entered your link in the blog, which will take the reader back to your website. And that is about it, there are many ways to getting a higher ranking and market your business, it is just all up to you which one you choose.
