Building your career is like driving a car on a road. Sometimes, there are roadblocks that block you in your way to your destination. There are detours that can sometimes divert you away from your destination or sometimes speeds you up to get to your destination.
There are also some pit stops that you can rest in or stay in before you continue your journey. But in traveling, the only thing that comes in to your mind is how to get to your destination, so much like in building your career.
When we are driving, we always try not to get caught up on roadblocks or get diverted away from our destinations. This is so much like what you do in building your career. You try your best not to get caught up on adversities that comes in your way building your career. But what ever we do, roadblocks do happen in our lives.
Here’s a question, what do you do when you encounter a roadblock while driving? You find a way around it of course. Or sometimes, we have to go back to find another route to take for us to get to our destination. In building your career, roadblock also happens, and we call them as adversities.
Roadblocks in building your career are adversities that block you away from your desires. Just like how you handle roadblocks in the road, you also try your best on how to work around that adversity. But if all else fails, we try to back up and look for another way on how to get to achieve our goal, and these are called as diversions.
Roadblocks are not the only thing that can impede you on your way. There are also some diversions that can provide you a longer way to get to your destination. This also applies on building your career.
In building you career, there are some adversities that leave you with no other choice but to get around it. These adversities are those things that cannot be overtaken or overcome. So you might as well find another path on how to get to your goal. Diversions take longer and more exhausting, yet these diversions are the only way that can provide you the path to your goal.
